Dallas Morrow

Irrigation Manager

Dallas Morrow joined Roundtree Landscaping in the spring of 2019 as our licensed irrigator and quickly rose to the occasion of running our entire irrigation division. Dallas has a passion for irrigation and for getting the job done right! He is great at trouble shooting problem issues in the field and is enjoying learning more about plants and how the irrigation he designs makes them successful.

Born and raised in the DFW area, Dallas was originally attracted to the trade after being raised by a mom who was the permit director for the City of Garland. Dallas spent a lot of time with mom at her office, meeting licensed professionals from many different trades, including irrigation. Exposure to so many trade fields gave Dallas unique insight into the opportunities and how such businesses operate.

Dallas joined the Dallas Zoo in 2013 as part of the janitorial staff, but quickly began working with the on-site irrigator. He advanced to become an irrigation technician and perimeter supervisor, tasked with monitoring and repairing all the irrigation surrounding the zoo. After leaving the Dallas Zoo, Dallas joined Brookway Horticultural Services as an irrigation technician and the North Texas Division Manager. After additional schooling and certification procedures, Dallas secured his Texas State Landscape Irrigator license in 2017.

Dallas oversees and manages the irrigation needs of all the landscapes Roundtree cares for. He is personally hands-on with every client’s irrigation controller and their landscape’s changing water needs. Dallas spends significant time focused on renovating existing irrigation systems to be more efficient and effective. With a focus on renovating irrigation systems to both conserve water and better meet the needs of the plants, Dallas is heavily invested in smart irrigation technology. He also helps design new systems when we design landscapes from the ground up.

When it comes to his favorite part of his job here at Roundtree, Dallas says he particularly enjoys working outdoors and seeing how his irrigation work transforms plants and landscapes and brings them to life. He also enjoys helping clients reach their landscape goals and enjoy more beautiful outdoor spaces.  Dallas particularly enjoys the extra attention to detail, care, and client communication he says distinguishes Roundtree Landscaping.

A fun fact you might not know about Dallas: He is a three-time Texas State Champion in martial arts and Kung Fu. He grew up traveling the state participating in martial arts tournaments. So, it might not be a good idea to mess with Dallas! That said, he loves funny movies and his cat Motu, so we are fairly sure he’s a real softy! His favorite plant of the moment? Red Caladiums.
