Ready for Roses!

March 21, 2013 | By webadmin

A happy spring to all of you from the staff here at Roundtree Landscaping! We can't wait for the roses to begin blooming, which is right around the corner. You might think that having beautiful roses in a low maintenance landscape just isn't possible. Not so! There are many easy to grow antique and shrub roses that can be incorporated in to low maintenance and low water usage landscapes.

Roundtree artemesia

Here is one of our favorite low-maintenance combinations...in the garden above, we've combined tough and easy to grow Artemesia 'Powis Castle' with dwarf Pennisetum ornamental grass, dwarf Abelia and 'Double Pink Knockout' roses. All of these plants are Texas tough and require little maintenance once established. Plus, they offer up foliage color and texture and blooms.

Floribunda roses, such as 'Easy Does it' and Antiques, such as 'Perle d' Or' are other examples of tough easy-care roses for your garden.

These plants are perfectly complemented by accent boulders and river rock for a sophisticated look that is simple to care for. We believe the right plants are key to a successful landscape design. Here at Roundtree we can help you create the garden of your dreams that fits your lifestyle.  If you're ready to refresh your landscape or start over from scratch, give us a call today at 214-824-7036, or drop us a line at rli@roundtreelandscaping.com
