Who is in your family? A budding grill-master; kids that love to play tag outdoors; pets that like to roll around in the grass; or a reader always looking for a place to lounge? It's important, of course, to consider your own aesthetic tastes and your budget when designing your landscape. Don't forget, however to consider how everyone in your family will need to use the landscape.
Do you have kids in the house? Small playhouses or tree houses are a great way to create "kid-friendly" areas in your landscape. Be sure to reserve some space for open lawn to give the kids room to run and play. Use kiddie-mulch under swings and playsets to provide a soft landing.

Are entertaining family and friends a priority? Shaded areas for dining, cooking, lounging or playing games is a must. Pergolas are perfect for both defining and protecting your new entertaining space. Add cozy stone seating spaces for friends to gather with a glass of wine.
Love to grill outdoors? Outdoor kitchens and grills are a must! Why just grill and bring the cuisine indoors? Create a space that makes everyone want to be outdoors with you! Comfortable seating, interesting plants, and even a relaxing fountain will make it easy for your guests to keep you company.

Are your pets your four-legged kids? An Eco-friendly landscape with organic maintenance and tough plants is a must! Notice where your pets love to rest or play, then add soft groundcover that will withstand their weight and shrubs that bounce back after a bit of rough play. We also love faux turf for large dogs. It looks incredibly real and can take a beating!
