Does Your Landscape Need a Refresh?

November 22, 2013 | By webadmin

Your landscape has a big impact on the curb appeal of your home. When you look at your landscape do you feel: Bored? Uninspired? Perhaps the desire to just go back inside? We get it!

We’ve got a few quick, easy ways you can refresh your landscape for the holidays. Guests will think you spent way more time, effort and money than you actually did. Impressive!

Quick Patios: Even in December, we could get some 70 degree days. Be ready with a beautiful stone patio with a comfy seating-set. We can usually get these party ready in just a few days. Take a look at the project we did over summer at a past blog entry here.

Color: Seasonal color such as pansies, violas, cyclamen or Iceland poppies. Summer color died off long ago and it’s beginning to get too cool for transitional color. Now is the time to add color that will bloom through winter and pop even bigger in early spring. White blooms glow at dusk! Read more about cool color here.

Container Gardens: Don’t limit yourself to just annuals for winter color containers at entryways or on patios. Small shrubs, trees and perennials can be a great focal point when surrounded by season color. Best part about containers? They can be easily and quickly changed as much as you like!

Lighting: Dynamic lighting added under a tree, highlighting a water feature, lining a new garden bed or along a pathway can add a bit of drama now that the sun goes down so early. Plus, the extra light adds a bit more safety to deter holiday burglaries.

How can we help you feel inspired about your landscape? Give us a call this winter to find out.
