EasyTurf: There’s no shame in fake grass!

September 2, 2014 | By webadmin

Ever since we installed the amazing EasyTurf faux lawn at the Texas State Fair last year, we’ve been hooked! While as landscape designers, we always prefer real plants, there are some situations that simply won’t support a real, lush green lawn.

Heavily shaded areas are not the place to try and grow a thick lawn. Turf grasses are sun plants and are not suited to shady locations. No amount of extra water or fertilizer will change that reality. So if you’re struggling with heavy shade, but need to add a soft walkable surface, faux grass could be a great solution. Especially if you have dogs. Areas where grass has thinned out often become muddy, making a mess when the dogs want to come indoors. Areas around pools, heavy foot traffic pathways or kids play areas are also great candidates for EasyTurf.

Why does EasyTurf impress us?

  • EasyTurf uses multi-color blades to give subtle color differences just like real grass, so it looks incredibly realistic. Often, you really can’t tell it’s not real until you get right on top of it.
  • It stands up to foot traffic, pets, and heavy furniture. EasyTurf has a 15-20 year life expectancy, the longest in the industry. The look holds up much longer than expected.
  • Unmatched Drainage. With proprietary MaxxFlow technology, EasyTurf offers a totally permeable backing allowing for 100% irrigation drainage and a barrier for weeds. Permeable surfaces are key to creating a waterwise landscape.
  • Unparalleled Warranty. EasyTurf offers the longest, most comprehensive and solid warranty available.
  • Tired of the dog damaging the turf?  Liquids drain right through the EasyTurf, and waste can be picked up easily. Simply wash off EasyTurf with a hose. Muddy paw tracks on your carpet will be a thing of the past!
